ARL Solutions Occupational Health and Safety Policy
POLICY SCOPE
This policy applies to all workers (including sub-contractors or temporary workers) who carry out work at the instruction of ARL Solutions.
POLICY PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to set out ARL Solutions' commitment to having a safe and healthy work environment for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health. ARL Solutions is firmly committed to the provision of a safe and healthy workplace for workers in accordance and compliance with all legal and other requirements, specifically those under:
Health and at Work Act 2015
HSW (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016
HSW (Major Hazard Facilities) Regulations 2016
HSW (Worker Engagement, Participation and Representation) Regulations 2016
HSW (Asbestos) Regulations 2016
Approved Code of Practice for the Management and Removal of Asbestos

Furthermore, ARL Solutions is committed to:
Eliminate hazards wherever possible, and to reduce further Occupation Health & Safety risks
Obtain and hold a valid class A asbestos removal license fulfilling all additional duties that the license requires
Ensure that the ARL Solutions workers work in a healthy and safe manner and are not injured (or do not cause injury to others) while working on the ARL Solutions' premises and work sites
Achieve continual improvement in occupational health and safety management through external accreditation, internal auditing, and management reviews
Achieve continual improvement in occupational health and safety performance through internal auditing of work sites, performance reviews of all employees, accident and injury processes, and other audit, review, inspection, and planning processes not mentioned
Encourage and promote worker consultation and participation in health and safety matters, including external guidance from worker nominated representatives through the Health and Safety Committee
Promote measures to prevent injury and illness by providing resources and training for safe methods and processes, safe equipment and proper materials
Ensure the accurate timely reporting of near misses, accident and incidents (whether there is an injury or not), investigation and corrective actions
Share a commitment to ensure the safe and timely return to work of injured workers
Promote a system of continual improvement including, at minimum, annual reviews of procedures and policy
Design, construct, operate and maintain our assets so that they safeguard people and property
Support and maintain an alcohol and drug free work environment
Give coherent and comprehensive communication with the client or main contractor through careful project management
Provide education on asbestos health and safety information and duties and obligations of other PCBUs
Guide the company through the setting of health and safety objectives for the company at minimum on an annual basis, reinforced by reviewing the objectives during internal audits and management reviews
